UMKC's Fleming, ORU's Dollar Earn Weekly Honors
ELMHURST, Ill. - UMKC's Grant Fleming and Oral Roberts' Tori Dollar were named as The Summit League's men's and women's tennis players of the week for their performances through Jan. 23. The awards mark the first weekly honors of the season.

Fleming earns his first career honor after a singles victory in the season-opening match against Oklahoma State. Playing the No. 2 singles position, Fleming rallied for a 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 victory over OSU's Rifat Biktyakov. The victory marked UMKC's first point victory over a BCS opponent since 2008. Fleming is undefeated in his last five singles matches in dual meets dating back to last season.

Tori Dollar, Oral Roberts

Dollar garners her first career award after opening the season with a 2-1 singles record while adding a doubles victory on the young season. Playing No. 6 singles, Dollar notched wins against UALR's Nina Yates (4-6, 6-1, 6-3) and Oklahoma State's Leyla Simmons (6-3, 6-3). Her lone loss on the year came at the No. 5 position against 22nd-ranked Tulsa. In doubles play, Dollar teamed with Kristin Gray for an 8-4 victory over UALR's tandem of Luksich and Yates. Dollar leads the Golden Eagles in singles victories.
