UMKC's Dayon Hall-Jones was named The Summit
League's Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance
Dec. 27-Jan. 2.

Hall-Jones captures her first career Player of the Week award after
leading UMKC to a perfect week in league play. The senior guard
scored 43 points on 16-of-25 shooting from the field and 9-of-10
from three-point range in the win over preseason favorite Oral
Roberts. Her 43 points is a league-high this season, is second in
the nation behind Cal Poly's Kristina Santiago's 44 points and is
second in league history for a single game. In addition, her nine
treys tied an individual single-game league record. She added 15
points in 27 minutes in the win over Southern Utah. For the week,
Hall-Jones averaged 29.0 points, 2.0 assists and 1.5 rebounds per
game while shooting 65 percent (11-of-17) from downtown and 51
percent (22-of-43) from the field.
