IPFW's Cabrini, USD's Reddy Named Players of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. - IPFW's Roberto Cabrini and South Dakota's Yamini Reddy were named as The Summit League's men's and women's tennis players of the week for their performances through Jan. 24-30.

Cabrini receives his second career award and first of the season after recording his initial victory of 2012. Facing Western Michigan, Cabrini accounted for his team's lone point with a win at No. 1 singles over Pablo Olivarez, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 1-0 (10-3).

Yamini Reddy, South Dakota

Reddy garners her first career award after collecting a pair of victories, including a win over a regionally-ranked opponent, during the week. Against SIU Edwardsville, Reddy played the No. 6 singles position and rallied for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Amanda Miller. In a match against Drake, Reddy bested Amanda Aragon, ranked No. 17 in the Central Region, 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 at the No. 6 position. Reddy's lone singles loss during the week came in three sets against her opponent from Northern Illinois.
