Oakland's Bethany Watterworth was named The Summit
League's Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance
Jan. 24-30.

Watterworth earns her sixth career award and second this season
after leading the Golden Grizzlies in scoring and rebounding last
week. The junior forward scored 24 points on 11-of-20 shooting with
eight rebounds in a win over North Dakota State on Saturday. She
followed that performance with 25 points and seven boards vs. South
Dakota State Monday. For the week, Watterworth averaged 24.5
points, 7.5 rebounds, one assist and one block per contest. She
shot 48 percent (19-of-40) from the field and went 9-of-10 from the
charity stripe while committing only one turnover. She has now
scored 20 or more points in four of her last five
games.
