ELMHURST, Ill. – Kansas City guard Emile Blakesley was named The Summit League's Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performances Dec. 10-16.

Blakesley earns her first career Player of the Week award after recording career-highs in six different categories in Kansas City's game against Eastern Michigan. The senior guard scored a career-high 16 points in the loss after entering the contest averaging just 1.9 ppg. She also added career-highs of five rebounds, four assists, four steals, five field goals and four 3-pointers made. Blakesley shot 71 percent (5-of-7) from the field, 67 percent (4-of-6) from downtown and was a perfect 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
