Western Illinois Sweeps Weekly Swimming and Diving Awards

ELMHURST, Ill. – Western Illinois' Tyler Neaveill and Megan Popp were named The Summit League's Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week for their performances Dec. 11-17.

MEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK         
Tyler Neaveill, Western Illinois

So. // Germantown Hills, Ill.
Neaveill claims his first career Athlete of the Week honor after tallying an individual event win and two relay victories against UIC.  The Germantown Hills, Ill., native won the 50 Free in 22.16.  He was also a member of the winning 200 Free (1:28.80) and 200 Medley (1:39.05) relay teams.

WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Megan Popp, Western Illinois
Fr. // Fenton, Mo.
Popp earns her first career Athlete of the Week award after recording two top-three finishes against UIC.  The freshman won the 1,000 Free touching the wall in 11:01.31.  She also finished third in the 500 Free with a time of 5:32.56.
