ELMHURST, Ill. – Western Illinois guard Ceola Clark III was named Summit League Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance Nov. 26-Dec. 2.

Clark III earned his third career award and first of the season after leading Western Illinois to a pair of road wins to open Summit League play 2-0. In the league opener at South Dakota, Clark III scored the game-winner as time expired as part of a 20-point performance. He also added four assists, three rebounds and two steals while shooting 61.5 percent (8-of-13) from the field and 50 percent (4-of-8) from three-point range. Two days later at Kansas City, Clark III scored a career-high 27 points in WIU's victory. In that contest, he also shot 61.5 percent (8-of-13) and improved to 62.5 percent (5-of-8) while dishing out four assists without committing a turnover. For the week, Clark III averaged 23.5 points, 4.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals with just one turnover during that span. He shot 61.5 percent from the field (16-of-26), connected on 56.3 of his three-point attempts (9-of-16) and converted all six free throws.
