North Dakota State's Nick Colwell and Western
Illinois' Dustin Hunter were named The Summit
League's Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week for their
performances Feb. 20-26.

Colwell collects his first career honor after leading North Dakota
State to a four-game sweep at Northern Colorado. The senior hit
.700 (14-for-20) in the series, accounting for 16 runs with four
extra-base hits, a 1.000 slugging percentage and .667 on-base
percentage. In game three of the series, Colwell tied an NDSU
single-game record with five hits along with three runs scored and
three RBI. He added four hits in game one of the series and three
hits in game two. The first baseman had at least one run scored and
one RBI as well as at least two hits in all four games, while
adding a stolen base in the series.

WEEK

Sr., RHP (Senath, Mo./Mineral Area CC)
Hunter earns his first Pitcher of the Week award after recording
his first win of the season against Alabama A&M. The senior
pitched 7.0 innings surrendering two hits and no earned runs while
striking out a career-high 12 batters. Hunter needed just nine
pitches to get through the fifth and sixth innings and did not
allow a base hit following a leadoff single in the
third inning.
