IUPUI's Modesitt, ORU's Khatsko Net Weekly Honors
ELMHURST, Ill. - IUPUI's Joel Modesitt and Oral Roberts' Iryna Khatsko were named as The Summit League's men's and women's tennis players of the week for their performances Feb. 29-March 5.

Modesitt earns his first award of the season after winning both Summit League matches last week. Playing the No. 5 singles position, he opened league play with straight-set victories over Oral Roberts' Matthew Prevost (0 and 2) and UMKC's Max Helgeson (7-5, 6-4). In doubles play, Modesitt teamed with Nick Volz at No. 2 for a league win over UMKC's tandem of Heckler and Edwards, 8-3. His victories helped IUPUI to a 2-0 start in Summit League play.

Khatsko earned her first award of the season after winning her singles and doubles matches during the week. At the No. 1 position against Central Arkansas, she notched a straight-set victory (2 and 3) over Horsikyan Simona. In doubles play, Khatsko teamed with Kristin Gray at No. 1 for an 8-5 win over UCA's Horsikyan and Simona.
