to the NCAA Regional All-Tournament team three times ... A
three-time All-Mid-Continent first team selection (1997, 1998,
1999) ... Led the nation with a league-record 0.42 ERA and
ranked seventh nationally in strikeouts in 1998 ... Played key role
in team's third-place finish at the 1999 Women's College World
Series ... Finished her collegiate career with 46-17 record, 1.28
ERA and 422 strikeouts ... At the plate, Brown had a .383 career
batting average, with 21 home runs and 129 RBI ... Played
professionally with Akron Racers of the Women's Professional
Softball League ... Returned to DePaul for a stint as assistant
coach in 2000.
