A 2004 and 2006 Outdoor All-American and a 2005 and 2006 Indoor
All-American in the shot put ... Placed seventh at the 2004 U.S.
Olympic Trials and the 2005 USA Outdoor Track and Field
Championships ... A 12-time Mid-Continent Conference event champion
... Selected as the 2005 Mid-Continent Outdoor Athlete of the Year
... In 2003, Martin won the Mid-Continent Outdoor Newcomer of the
Year award, Indoor Athlete of the Year and Indoor Co-Newcomer of
the Year ... An Academic All-Mid-Continent selection in 2005-06 ...
Still holds the WIU indoor record in the shot put (55' 9"), and is
second in school history for outdoor shot put (55' 9.75") and
hammer throw (186' 7") ... Ranks third in the WIU record books for
the discus throw (155' 3").
