ELMHURST, Ill. - IPFW's Jessica Haskins and Miranda Kramer were named The Summit League's Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week for their performances April 29-May 6, marking the final awards of the 2012 season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jessica Haskins, IPFW

Haskins garners her first career Player of the Week honor after helping the Mastodons sweep South Dakota in their final regular season series. She went a perfect 2-for-2 from the plate in game one with two homers, three RBI and two runs scored. Her home runs marked the first two of her collegiate career. In the series finale, she went 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored. For the week, Haskins hit .500 (3-for-6) with a 1.667 slugging percentage, .625 on-base percentage, three extra-base hits, two home runs, a double, three RBI, three runs scored and two walks.

Kramer captures her first career Pitcher of the Week honor after striking out a school-record 14 batters in the 5-1 complete-game victory over South Dakota. On the week, the left-handed hurler fanned 14 batters, while allowing three walks, four hits and one earned run in seven innings of work for a 1.00 ERA.
