ELMHURST, Ill. – Western Illinois' Miranda Graham and Kansas City's Jami Finnell were named The Summit League's Offensive and Defensive Women's Soccer Players of the Week for their performances Aug. 20-26.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Miranda Graham, Western Illinois
Sr., M (Schoolcraft, Mich./Schoolcraft)
Graham collects her first career Offensive Player of the Week honor after leading the Fighting Leathernecks to a perfect 2-0 record last week. The senior scored the match-winner in the 15th minute and then assisted on an insurance goal by Chrissy Campbell 19 seconds later in the win over 2011 NCAA Tournament participant Arkansas-Pine Bluff. In a 4-1 win at UALR, she scored the first goal of the match in the second minute after connecting on a rebounded save. For the week, Graham scored two goals on six shots with one assist for five points.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jami Finnell, Kansas City

Finnell records her fourth career Defensive Player of the Week award and second-straight this season after securing a 1-0 shutout victory at Southeast Missouri State last week. She collected eight saves in the match and stopped a crucial penalty kick in the 88th minute to preserve the win. With her eight saves in the match, Finnell became The Summit League's all-time career saves leader. She now has 436 saves her in four-year career, surpassing Western Illinois' Summer Perala's (1999-2001) 429 career stops.
