Hoareau, Coley Named Women's Soccer Players of the Week

Hoareau and Oakland's Shannon Coley were
named The Summit League's Offensive and Defensive Women's Soccer
Players of the Week for their performances Sept. 4-9.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sydney Hoareau, Fort Wayne

Hoareau earns her first career Offensive Player of the Week honor
after scoring both Mastodon goals in a 2-1 win over Evansville
Sunday. Her first tally came in the 58th minute as she
headed in a Tylar Allison corner kick to tie the match 1-1. The
match-winner came in the 77th minute as she beat the
Purple Aces goalie to the far post. It was Hoareau's first two-goal
match of her career and the first for Fort Wayne this season.

Shannon Coley, Oakland

Coley collects her second career Defensive Player of the Week
award after recording a shutout of Michigan State and holding
Michigan to just one goal. The senior made seven stops in the 0-0
draw with the Spartans, giving Oakland its first-ever tie against
Michigan State. In the 1-0 loss to Michigan Sunday, Coley made five
saves. In the two matches, Coley surrendered one goal, made 12
saves with a 0.45 goals against average and .923 save
percentage.
