Kansas City’s Patino Named Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Kansas City's Tomas Patino was named as The Summit League's men's tennis player of the week for his performance Jan. 22- 28.

Patino earns his first career award after "playing up" and earning a victory in Kansas City's match against Southern Illinois. Projected as the Kangaroos' No. 3 singles player, Patino was forced into action at No. 1 for his short-handed squad. After dropping the first set against SIU's Brandon Florez, he rallied for a three-set (2-6, 6-4, 10-8) victory to even his individual singles season record at 1-1.
