Frauendorfer Captures Player of the Week Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – Omaha guard Paige Frauendorfer was named The Summit League's Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performances Dec. 31 – Jan. 6.

Frauendorfer earns her second Player of the Week award this season after recording two double-doubles in a pair of Omaha league wins. In a 59-41 win over Oakland on Thursday, the senior guard had 16 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and four steals. On Friday, she scored a season-high 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season in the 60-50 win over Fort Wayne. She scored five-straight points in a span of 1:03 late in the game to turn a 51-50 lead into a 56-50 advantage. For the week, Frauendorfer averaged 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.5 assists per game. She also shot 44 percent (15-of-34) from the field and 73 percent (8-of-11) from the free throw line.
