Denver’s Edfort, Gau Claim Both Weekly Diving Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – Denver's Ross Edfort and Dana Gau were named the Men's and Women's Divers of the Week for their performances Oct. 22-28.

MEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK  
Ross Edfort, Denver

Edfort earns his first career Diver of the Week award after recording league-leading scores in both the one-meter and three-meter dives.  He helped the Pioneers defeat Arizona State, 175-124 with a third-place finish in the three-meter tallying a league-best score of 328.95 and a fifth-place finish in the one-meter (241.55).  In Friday's non-scored meet at Arizona State, the senior finished second in both events with a league-high score of 311.03 in the one meter and 312.60 points in the three-meter.

WOMEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK
Dana Gau, Denver

Gau collects her first career Diver of the Week honor after recording four top-four finishes, including a pair of top-two league scores at Arizona State.  In Saturday's meet, the junior placed third in the three-meter dive with a league-best score of 266.95 and finished fourth in the one-meter (243.65).  During the non-scored meet on Friday, she finished runner-up in the three-meter (243.98) and fourth in the one-meter with a score of 257.33, the second-best league score this season.

Also nominated: Miranda Knipfer, Omaha; Greysen Hertting, South Dakota.
