Denver’s Bunch, McNally Sweep Swimmer of the Week Awards

ELMHURST, Ill. – Denver's Dylan Bunch and Bridgette McNally were named The Summit League's Men's and Women's Swimmers of the Week for their performances Oct. 22-28.

MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK        
Dylan Bunch, Denver

So. // Boulder City, Nev.
Bunch garners his first career Swimmer of the Week honor after helping the Pioneers defeat Arizona State, 175-124 with a trio of first-place finishes, including a pair of times ranked in the NCAA's top-15.  The sophomore won the 500 free in 4:30.15 and the 1,000 free in 9:16.10, while finishing fourth in the 200 free (4:30.15).  All three times are league-best this season with his 500 free time ranking ninth in the NCAA and his 1,000 free time at 12th.  The Boulder City, Nev., native also collected a first-place finish in the 800 free (8:06.40) in a non-scored trial against Arizona State on Friday.

WOMEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Bridgette McNally, Denver

McNally earns her second-straight Swimmer of the Week award after posting a perfect week in the pool and winning all six events she competed in, which included a pair of NCAA top-25 times.  In Saturday's scored meet against Arizona State, the Lone Tree, Colo., native claimed event wins in the 200 free (1:50.28), 500 free (4:52.31) and 400 IM (4:19.40).  All three times are the fastest league times this season.  Her 400 IM time ranks 15th in the NCAA and is the second-fastest time in league history, while her 500 free time is 23rd in the nation and the third-best time in league history.  The junior also won the 50 back (29.61), 150 back (1:37.34) and was a member of the winning 500 free relay team (4:56.02) in Friday's non-scored meet at Arizona State.
