Fort Wayne’s Freitas Named Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – Fort Wayne's Joao Freitas was named as The Summit League's men's tennis player of the week for his performance Feb. 5-Feb. 11.

Freitas collects his second career award and first of the season after posting singles and doubles victories against Wright State. Playing the No. 6 singles position, Freitas scored a straight-set (3 and 2) win over WSU's Evan Neuman, accounting for the Mastodons lone point in the match. He also was victorious in his doubles match, an 8-5 triumph, at the No. 1 position.
