WIU’s Ogilvie, SDSU’s Smith Garner Final Weekly Swimming and Diving Awards
ELMHURST, Ill. – Western Illinois' Doug Ogilvie and South Dakota State's Kayce Smith were named The Summit League's Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week, for their performances Feb. 5-11, marking the final awards of the season.
MEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Doug Ogilvie, Western Illinois
So. // Oswego, Ill.
Ogilvie collects his fifth career Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week honor and second of the season after a pair of top-two finishes against Iowa. The sophomore won the three-meter dive with a score of 303.24 and finished runner-up in the one-meter (310.65).

Smith earns her first career Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week award after recording three top-four finishes, including an event win at the Minnesota Challenge. The Madison, Wis., native won the 200 breast in 2:25.82, which is the sixth-fastest league time this season. She also took third in the 100 breast (1:07.28) and fourth in the 200 IM (2:11.68).
