Kansas City’s Schulte Named Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Kansas City's Maddie Schulte was named as The Summit League's women's tennis player of the week for her performance Feb. 12-18.

Schulte receives her second career award and first of the season after posting a 2-0 singles record during the week. Against No. 66 Wichita State, Schulte recorded a three-set victory (6-4, 3-6, 10-7) over Summer Schlotterback at No. 6 singles. In her match against UALR, Schulte rallied for a three-set victory (2-6, 6-3, 6-2) against Michaela McShane. The two wins improved Schulte to 5-6 in singles matches this season.
