Fort Wayne’s Henestrosa Named Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – Fort Wayne's Anita Henestrosa was named as The Summit League's women's tennis player of the week for her performance March 12-18.

Henestrosa earned her first award of the season and the third of her career after going 4-0 in both singles and doubles matches during Summit League cluster play. Playing the No. 1 singles position, Henestrosa cruised to straight-set victories in each of her matches, besting Western Illinois' Yessenia Mejia (0 and 0), South Dakota State's Florencia Magni (4 and 2), Omaha's Alex Tran (1 and 1) and Kansas City's Laura Bouet (0 and 0). In doubles play, she led Fort Wayne's No. 1 tandem to an 8-0 win over WIU, 8-2 victories over both South Dakota State and Omaha, and an 8-4 triumph against Kansas City. Henestrosa improved her singles record to 15-6 and doubles mark to 18-4 while leading the Mastodons to a 4-0 start in The Summit League.
