Kansas City’s Fleming Named Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Kansas City's Grant Fleming was named as The Summit League's men's tennis player of the week for his performance March 19-25.

Fleming earned his third career award, and second this season, after a pair of straight-set singles victories in league matches. Against South Dakota State, Fleming scored a 6-2, 6-2 win over Mateus Moreira at No. 2 singles and combined with Tomas Patino for a 9-8 No. 1 doubles victory. Two days later versus IUPUI, Fleming notched a 6-2, 6-2 win over Nick Volz at the No. 2 singles position and teamed with Patino for an 8-2 triumph at No. 1 doubles to help lead the Kangaroos to a 4-3 victory. Fleming extended his singles win streak to six and his doubles win streak to four as his team started Summit League play 2-0.
