ELMHURST, Ill. – Omaha's Campbell Ditto and Dana Elsasser were named The Summit League's Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week April 8-14.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Ditto garners her first career Player of the Week award after leading Omaha to a series sweep over IUPUI with two multi-hit and multi-RBI games. She opened the series with a double and a run scored in game one of Saturday's doubleheader and then went a perfect 2-for-2 from the plate with a homer, two RBI, a walk and a run scored in game two. In Sunday's 3-0 series finale win, the freshman catcher went 2-for-3 with a double, a homer, three RBI and one run scored. For the week, Ditto hit .625 (5-for-8) with a 1.625 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage. She also added four extra-base hits (two home runs, two doubles) five RBI, three runs scored and a walk.

Elsasser collects Pitcher of the Week honors for the fourth time this season and of her career after throwing a pair of complete-game shutouts over IUPUI. In Saturday's 4-0 win, she struck out six and allowed three hits. The junior then fanned 10 batters and yielded four hits in Sunday's 3-0 victory. On the week, Elsasser went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA, striking out 16, while allowing seven hits, two walks and no runs in 14 innings of work. The right-handed hurler leads the league in ERA (1.39), wins (18) and saves (3) and has tallied 10 shutouts this season.
