Kansas City's Alawadhi Named Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – Kansas City's Abdul Alawadhi was named as The Summit League's men's tennis player of the week for his performance April 2-8.

Alawadhi earns his second career award and first this season after posting a 3-0 singles record, including a key league victory. Against Western Illinois on senior day, Alawadhi scored a straight-set victory (3 and 4) over Patrick Hammers at No. 2 singles and teamed with David Heckler for an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles. His wins helped Kansas City clinch a berth in The Summit League Tournament. Earlier in the week, Alawadhi notched a 6-4, 7-6 (5) win over Northwest Missouri State at the No. 3 position and rallied for a 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory against Saint Louis. He improved his season singles record to 8-2.
