Wyatt, Kramer, Denney Earn Final Weekly Softball Honors
ELMHURST, Ill. – Kansas City's Bri Wyatt was named The Summit League Player of the Week, while Fort Wayne's Miranda Kramer and South Dakota's Erica Denney were named The Summit League Pitchers of the Week for their performances April 29-May 5, marking the final awards of the season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bri Wyatt, Kansas City

Wyatt collects her first career Player of the Week award after recording a perfect performance at the plate in three-of-four games last week. The outfielder was 3-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, a run scored and stolen base in a loss to Iowa State. In league play, she was 7-for-7 in the series against South Dakota State. In game one vs. the Jackrabbits, she batted 4-for-4 with two runs and followed that up by going 3-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in game two. For the week, Wyatt hit .833 (10-for-12) overall with a .846 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. In league play alone, she posted a 1.000 batting average (7-for-7), 1.000 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. She added a triple, four runs scored, two RBI and two stolen bases.

Miranda Kramer, Fort Wayne

Kramer captures her third career Pitcher of the Week award and second this season after going undefeated (3-0) on the week, including tossing a one-hit shutout and setting a school record for wins in a season with 21. The Burlington, Iowa, native opened the weekend fanning nine batters in an 8-0 one-hit shutout over Detroit. She picked up her second victory of the week in a one-run win over instate league rival IUPUI striking out 11. In the series finale, she fanned 13 enroute to her second shutout of the week. On the week, Kramer posted a 3-0 record with a 0.37 ERA, striking out 24 batters, while yielding six hits, five walks and one earned run in 19 innings of work.
Erica Denney, South Dakota

Denney garners her first career Pitcher of the Week award after recording South Dakota's 5-1 win over regular season league champion North Dakota State, the Bison's lone league loss of the season. The right-handed hurler fanned six batters and did not allow an earned run in the complete-game win. For the weekend, Denney was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA, striking out six, while giving up three hits and a walk in seven innings of work.
