SDSU’s Notkin Named Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State's Gary Notkin was named as The Summit League's Men's Tennis Player of the Week following his performance through Jan. 20. The award marks the season's initial honor.

Notkin received his first career award after posting a 2-0 singles record and a doubles victory while leading South Dakota State to a 2-1 start. In a 4-3 victory over Southern Illinois, Notkin teamed for a 6-5 (4) doubles victory that clinched the point for the Jackrabbits. Later that day in a 4-3 triumph over Oral Roberts, Notkin notched the clinching win with a three-set victory (6-3, 2-6, 6-5) at the No. 6 position. In SDSU's opener against Oklahoma State, Notkin was up one set in singles play when the match was decided.
