USD’s Knowles, Schutt Sweep Swimmer of the Week Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota's Jacob Knowles and Sam Schutt were named The Summit League's Swimmers of the Week for their performances Nov. 11-17.

MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK        
Jacob Knowles, South Dakota
So. // Lockport, Ill.
Knowles earns his second career Swimmer of the Week honor and first of the season after posting a trio of top-four finishes at the Border Battle, including an event win.  The Lockport, Ill., native won the 200 breast with a time of 2:13.19, while finishing runner up in the 100 breast (1:00.47).  He also placed fourth in the 50 free (22.18).

Also nominated: Steven Fishman, Eastern Illinois.

WOMEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Sam Schutt, South Dakota
So. // Columbus, Ohio
Schutt claims her second-straight Swimmer of the Week award and fifth of her career after recording three first-place finishes.  She clocked a league-best and winning time of 5:01.55 in the 500 free, while winning the 200 free in 1:54.38 and the 200 back in 2:09.18.
