Fort Wayne’s Sato Named Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – Fort Wayne's Mayu Sato was named as The Summit League's Women's Tennis Player of the Week following her performance Feb. 25-March 3.

Sato received her second league honor of the season after winning a pair of singles matches and helping lead the Mastodons to two victories. Playing the No. 1 position against Robert Morris, Sato won (3 and 0) over Carolina Teixeira in a 6-0 Fort Wayne triumph. Against Youngstown State, Sato claimed a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 victory over Margarita Sadovinikova at No. 1 singles for a key point in the Mastodons' 4-2 win. With her two victories, Sato now owns a 12-1 singles record this spring.
