IUPUI’s Mosier, NDSU’s Menke Named Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – IUPUI's Ali Mosier and North Dakota State's Krista Menke were named The Summit League's Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week for their performances March 31-April 6.

Mosier earns her first career Player of the Week honor after leading the Jaguars to a 4-1 record last week and its first league series sweep since 2010. The sophomore tallied at hit in all five games, including multiple hits in a trio of games. She opened the week going 2-for-4 against Green Bay with a double, a RBI, a run and stolen base despite a 7-5 loss in game one and recorded another double in game two's 4-3 win. In game two of Saturday's doubleheader against South Dakota State, the infielder was 2-for-4 with a homer, three RBI and three runs. To end the week, she batted 3-for-5 with her third double of the week, two stolen bases, a RBI and a run scored to help IUPUI complete the series sweep of the Jackrabbits. For the week, Mosier tallied a .474 batting average (9-for-19) with four extra-base hits, a home run, three doubles, eight RBI, six runs and three stolen bases. In league play alone, she tallied a .500 batting average and a .833 slugging percentage with three extra-base hits, six RBI and four runs.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Krista Menke, North Dakota State

Menke claims her eighth career Pitcher of the Week award and third this season after posting a 2-1 record against Omaha, including a pair of two-hitters. The junior right hander recorded her best performance in the series opener striking out a career-high 12 batters, while allowing two hits, two earned runs and four walks in the 4-3 victory. She followed that up fanning three hitters in two innings in relief for her second win of the day. In the series finale, the Friend, Neb., native threw her second two-hitter of the series striking out seven with no walks despite the 1-0 loss. On the weekend, Menke posted a 1.31 ERA, retiring 22 batters on strikes, while yielding five hits, three earned runs and six walks in 16 innings of work.
