Kirkhoff, Bothner Earn #SummitWSOC Weekly Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – IUPUI's Krissy Kirkhoff was named The Summit League's Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while Denver's Mackenzie Bothner earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for their performances Sept. 8-14.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kirkhoff records her second-straight Offensive Player of the Week honor after collecting the game-tying goal in the loss at Butler Sunday. Her tally came from a shot on the right side in the 87th minute of the match. She added five shots in the 0-0 double overtime draw with Evansville. For the week, Kirkhoff had a goal, two points and eight shots.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mackenzie Bothner, Denver

Bothner collects her first career Defensive Player of the Week award after helping lead Denver to a victory over Big 12 foe and regionally-ranked Iowa State. The freshman, playing in the outside back position, helped limit Colorado and Iowa State to just six shots on goal and 14 shots combined. Bothner also collected the game-winning goal vs. the Cyclones as her shot from the right side was deflected into the net.
