IUPUI Minnich, DU's Rey Capture #SummitWSOC Weekly Awards
ELMHURST, Ill. – IUPUI's Tori Minnich was named The Summit League's Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while Denver's Cassidy Rey earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for their performances Sept. 15-21.

Minnich earns her first career Offensive Player of the Week award after scoring all four IUPUI goals last week. In Sunday's double overtime draw with Indiana State, she registered a hat trick, scoring all three of her goals within a 12-minute stretch. Trailing 3-0, the sophomore forward pulled the Jaguars within one with a pair of goals 3:17 apart. She scored the equalizer 9:40 later to help IUPUI secure a point in the standings. She also scored the lone Jaguar goal in Friday's loss at Murray State. For the week, Minnich had four goals and eight points while connecting on four of her five shots. The hat trick was the second for IUPUI this season and fourth in the league.

Rey collects her fifth career Defensive Player of the Week honor after recording the shutout victory over San Francisco. The sophomore goalkeeper made four saves in the match to preserve the 1-0 Pioneer win. The Dons, who were ranked No. 3 in the West Region and receiving votes nationally, were limited to just nine shots in the match.
