IUPUI’s Ferguson and Denver’s Corea Tabbed Swimmers of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – IUPUI's Adam Ferguson and Denver's Samantha Corea were named The Summit League's Swimmer of the Week for their performances Jan. 5-11.
MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Adam Ferguson, IUPUI

Ferguson earned his first career Swimmer of the Week honor after leading the Jaguars to victories over both Ball State and Xavier. Ferguson finished first in three of the four events in which he competed, including both individual events. He won the 100 breast with a time of 58.74 and the 100 fly in 52.33. He was also part of the winning 200 medley relay team and the 400 freestyle relay team that finished second in his only non-first place finish.

Corea collects her third Summit League Swimmer of the Week award of the season and the fifth of her career after posting three first-place finishes to help Denver defeat No. 24 Boise State on Thursday,158-141. Corea set new pool records in her home pool on Senior Night in the 100 butterfly (53.45) and the 200 medley relay (1:43.26).
