Fort Wayne’s Cobos Named #SummitMTN Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – Fort Wayne's Andres Cobos was named The Summit League's Men's Tennis Player of the Week following his performance through Jan. 20-26.

Cobos collected his second career Player of the Week honor after opening the season with a perfect 3-0 mark in both singles and doubles matches. Playing the No. 3 singles position, Cobos posted straight-set victories over Chicago State's Julian Chavez (2 and 2) and St. Francis' Eli Cerdan (3 and 1) to lead the Mastodons to team victories. He accounted for his team's point in a loss to Illinois State by rallying to post a 0-6, 7-5, 6-2 win over Jacob Wilson. Cobos teamed with Daniel Cardenas at No. 2 doubles to score 6-2 victories in each of his team's three matches.
