SDSU’s Miller, NDSU’s Whittle Named #SummitWBB Players of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State guard Macy Miller and North Dakota State guard Marena Whittle were named Summit League Women's Basketball Players of the Week for their performances Dec. 14-20.

- Named Summit League Player of the Week for the second time this season
- Scored a team-high 19 points in a nine-point win over No. 15 DePaul Tuesday, while adding three assists and a rebound
- In a one-point loss at Green Bay, ranked No. 3 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll, Miller had 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting with six rebounds and five assists.
- Averaged 16 points, four assists and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 66.7 percent (12-of-18) from the field, 50 percent (3-of-6) from downtown and 83.3 percent (5-of-6) at the free throw line.

- Captured her first career Player of the Week award
- Scored a game-high 24 points while grabbing a game-best 17 rebounds, while adding six steals and five assists in a win over Prairie View A&M Saturday
- Tallied her 1,000th career point in the win over the Panthers
- Added 20 points, nine boards, three steals and three assists in a loss to North Carolina A&T on Friday
- For the week, Whittle averaged 22 points, 13 rebounds, 4.5 steals and four assists per contest while shooting 39 percent (16-of-41) from the field, 55.6 percent (5-of-9) from behind the arc and 87.5 percent (7-of-8) at the line
- Named to the WSU Winter Classic All-Tournament Team

In its fourth decade of Division I athletics, The Summit League features women's basketball teams from nine member institutions: Denver, Fort Wayne, IUPUI, North Dakota State, Omaha, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Western Illinois. In 2014-15, The Summit League had the highest graduation success rate (GSR) in NCAA Division I, qualified three postseason teams for the sixth straight season, and featured the Capital One Academic All-American of the Year and a WNBA Draft choice.
