USD's Hancock, NDSU's Menke Named #SummitSB Athletes of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota's Morgan Hancock has been named Summit League Player of the Week while Krista Menke of North Dakota State earns Summit League Pitcher of the Week after their performances March 9-15.

Hancock is named Summit League Player of the Week for the first time in her career after her performance over the week. The senior hit .424 (14-for-33) and slugged .758 in 10 games in Florida during the week. Hancock belted two home runs and added two doubles and a triple. She hit safely in none of the 10 games, including five multiple-hit games. She batted in seven runs and made 34 putouts defensively along with an assist without committing an error.

Krista Menke is named Summit League Pitcher of the Week for the third consecutive week, fourth time this season and for the 14th time in her career. Menke threw her fifth career complete game one-hitter against Wright State Sunday after throwing a complete game two-hit shutout against Bowling Green Saturday. She tied a career-high with 16 strikeouts in the 3-0 win over Bowling Green and now has 10 double-figure strikeouts this season. For the week, Menke was 2-0 and threw 14.0 innings with 29 strikeouts, only giving up three total hits and no runs.
