IUPUI’s Verma Named #SummitMTN Player of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – IUPUI's Akshay Verma was named The Summit League's Men's Tennis Player of the Week following his performance March 10-16.

Verma earned his first career weekly honor after posting a 2-0 singles record, including a Summit League victory. Against Fort Wayne, Verma rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Martin Muadi at No. 5 singles to help the Jaguars to 5-2 win. In a non-league match against Ball State, Verma accounted for IUPUI's singles point with a straight-set win (1 and 2) over Ball State's Patrick Downs.
