NDSU's Sobrero, UNO's Hinrichs Earn #SummitSB Weekly Honors
ELMHURST, Ill. – North Dakota State's Alex Sobrero has been named Summit League Player of the Week while Jaylee Hinrichs of Omaha earns Summit League Pitcher of the Week after their performances March 16-22.

Alex Sobrero earns her second Summit League Player of the Week award and the second of her career after leading North Dakota State after leading her team to a perfect 7-0 week, including a three-game sweep of Western Illinois to open league play over the weekend. The senior centerfielder went 13-for-26 from the plate, including going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI in a 10-5 victory over DePaul. For the week, her on-base percentage was .536 with four RBI and nine runs scored.

Jaylee Hinrichs is named Summit League Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season and the second time of her career after helping Omaha to an undefeated week. Hinrichs threw a pair of complete-game, one-hit shutouts. The freshman followed up a five-strikeout 8-0 win over Northern Colorado on Tuesday with a seven-strikeout 8-0 win over Fort Wayne to open league play Saturday. For the week, Omaha was 5-0 and Hinrichs threw 11.0 innings while allowing only two hits and no earned runs and striking out 12 batters.
