WIU’s Lubbers Named #SummitWTN Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Western Illinois' Courtney Lubbers was named The Summit League's Women's Tennis Player of the Week following her performance March 17-23.  

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Courtney Lubbers, Western Illinois

Lubbers garnered her first career honor after posting 3-0 singles and doubles records during the week. Against Valparaiso, she scored a straight-set (4 and 0) win over Kaitlyn Hamel at No. 1 singles and teamed with Jenna Wallace for a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles over Hamel/Hebble. Lubbers added wins at the No. 1 singles position over Quincy's Amy Kuhle (4 and 3) and Monmouth's Katherine Hinman (0 and 0) while also teaming with Wallace for victories at No. 1 doubles in both matches.
