DU’s Mikalsen, UNO’s Peters Named Golfers of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – Denver's Petter Mikalsen and Omaha's Sophie Peters were named The Summit League's Male and Female Golfers of the Week for their performances Feb. 26 – March 3.
MALE GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Petter Mikalsen, Denver

Mikalsen earns his second consecutive Golfer of the Week award after firing a one-over par 211 (75-68-68) at the Del Walker Intercollegiate. The sophomore finished tied for eighth out of 66 competitors and helped lead Denver to a third-place finish in the 11-team field.

FEMALE GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Sophie Peters, Omaha
Sr. // Fremont, Neb.
Peters collects her first career Golfer of the Week honor and the first ever by a Maverick women's golfer after finishing in a tie for first place at the Red Rocks Invitational. Her 36-hole 144 (72-72) set a new school record and she was declared the individual medalist following a one-hole playoff.
