Denver’s Craig Nets #SummitMTN Player of the Week Honor

ELMHURST, Ill. – Denver's Henry Craig was named The Summit League's Men's Tennis Player of the Week following his performance April 7-13.

Craig his second Player of the Week award of the season fifth of his career after posting a 3-0 singles record, including a pair of Summit League victories. Against Fort Wayne, Craig rallied to defeat Gerard Guell, 6-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6), at No. 1 singles and teamed with Alex Gasson for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles over Guell/Muadi. Facing IUPUI, Craig picked up another set of victories, including a straight-set triumph (4 and 2) over Jac Newis at No. 1 singles and combined with Gasson for an 8-7 (7-5) win over O'Neill/Reinhart. In non-league action, Craig won 7-5, 7-6 over DePaul's David Vieyra. Craig is No. 107 in the latest ITA men's singles rankings while he and his doubles partner Gasson are No. 30 in the doubles rankings.
