SDSU’s Curcija Named #SummitMTN Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State's Lovro Curcija was named The Summit League's Men's Tennis Player of the Week following his performance April 14-20. The award marks the final weekly honor of the season.

Curcija received his first Player of the Week award after posting a 2-0 Summit League singles record to close out the regular season. In SDSU's victory over Western Illinois, Curcija won in straight sets (1 and 0) over Surya Sawhney at No. singles. Against Fort Wayne, Curcija swept Martin Muadi (4 and 4) at the No. 4 position. Curcija finished the regular season on a five-match win streak and is tied for the team lead with 14 singles victories this season.
