IUPUI's Mosier, NDSU's Menke Named #SummitSB Athletes of Week

ELMHURST, Ill. –IUPUI's Ali Mosier has been named Summit League Player of the Week while Krista Menke of North Dakota State earns Summit League Pitcher of the Week after their performances March 30-April 5.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Ali Mosier collects her third Summit League Player of the Week award of the season and the fourth of her career after leading IUPUI to a 4-1 record last week. The junior infielder hit .500 (9-for-18) along with belting six home runs in the five games during the course of the week. Mosier had two two-home run games, including the series finale against Fort Wayne to give the Jaguars the series victory. Her season home run total is now 12, which leads The Summit league. For the week, she accounted for 18 total runs, scoring 10 and driving in eight, along with stealing four bases.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Menke is named Summit League Pitcher of the Week for the 16th time in her career and sixth time this season after her performance over the week. The senior appeared in all five games (three starts), helping North Dakota State to a two-game sweep of Nebraska and taking two of three from league-rival South Dakota. Menke went the distance in all three of her starts and racked up 23 strikeouts, including 12 in a 9-2 win over the Coyotes, extending her league-leading strikeout total to 255 on the season. For the week, Menke was 3-0 with a 1.42 ERA while only giving up nine base hits in 24.2 innings pitched.
