IUPUI’s Minnich, Schmidt Named #SummitWSOC Players of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – IUPUI forward Tori Minnich was named Summit League Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and teammate goalkeeper Catherine Schmidt garnered the league's Defensive Player of the Week award for their performances during the season-opening weekend, Aug. 21-23. The honors mark the first weekly awards of the season.
TORI MINNICH, IUPUI

- Collected her second career Offensive Player of the Week award
- Tallied three points in Aug. 23 victory over Illinois-Chicago
- Scored first career game-winner and added an assist vs. UIC
- Registered six shots, one short of her career-high, in scoreless season-opening tie vs. Eastern Illinois

CATHERINE SCHMIDT, IUPUI

- Collected her third career Defensive Player of the Week award
- Recorded third career shutout, facing 14 shots and making three saves in 0-0 tie vs. Eastern Illinois
- Made six stops in win over Illinois-Chicago
- Registered a 0.47 GAA and 4.5 saves per game during week
