ORU’s Lawrence, NDSU’s Bonham Named #SummitWSOC Players of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Oral Roberts forward Brittney Lawrence was named Summit League Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and North Dakota State goalkeeper Sierra Bonham collected the league's Defensive Player of the Week award for their performances Sept. 7-13.

BRITTNEY LAWRENCE, ORAL ROBERTS

  • Received first career Offensive Player of the Week award
  • Scored seven points in three games, including a trio of goals, during week
  • Netted two goals, including game-winner, in victory over Indiana State
  • Had a goal in win over Incarnate Word and an assist in tie at Missouri State

Also nominated: Andie Lazzerini, Fort Wayne; Krissy Kirkhoff, IUPUI; Amy Yang, North Dakota State; Chelsi Rohloff, Omaha

SIERRA BONHAM, NORTH DAKOTA STATE

  • Earned second career Defensive Player of the Week award
  • Recorded four-save shutout in 1-0 double overtime victory over North Dakota
  • Made three crucial stops in second overtime against UND to preserve win and second shutout of season
  • Had match-high 10 saves in overtime victory at Iowa State
  • Posted a 2-0 record, 0.89 GAA and .875 Save Pct. during week
