USD’s Arens Named #SummitWBB Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota sophomore guard Allison Arens was named Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performances the opening week of the season Nov. 11-13.

  • Collected her first career Player of the Week award
  • Scored a career-high 28 points and grabbed a career-best seven rebounds in Friday's win against SIU Edwardsville
  • Tallied 21 points with four rebounds and career-highs of six assists and three steals in Sunday's win over Stephen F. Austin
  • For the week, averaged 24.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, five assists, two steals and just 1.5 turnovers per game
  • Shot 62.5 percent (15-of-24) from the field, 66.7 percent (4-of-6) from three-point range and 83.3 percent (15-of-18) at the free throw line
  • The Coyotes are currently riding an eight-game win streak dating back to last season, which is second-longest in the nation
