SDSU’s Hendricks and Rumrill Claim Swimmer of the Week Awards

ELMHURST, Ill. – SDSU's Cassie Hendricks was named Summit League Women's Swimmer of the Week while teammate Wyatt Rumrill earned Men's Swimmer of the Week award for their performances during the week of Oct. 31 – Nov. 6.

  • Named Summit League Swimmer of the Week for the first time in her career
  • Finished first in the 100 backstroke (58.97) and 200 backstroke (2:09.10)  
  • Ranks third in the 100 backstroke and second in the 200 backstroke at South Dakota State
  • Placed first in the last two meets in the 100 backstroke

  • Named Summit League Swimmer of the Week for the second time in his career, first this season
  • Finished first in the 100 breast (58.85) and 200 breast (2:10.44)
  • Undefeated in the 200 breast this season
  • Holds the school record in the 200 breast (2:01.31)
