In its fourth decade of Division I athletics, The Summit League features women's basketball teams from nine member institutions: Denver, Fort Wayne, IUPUI, North Dakota State, Omaha, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Western Illinois. In 2014-15, The Summit League had the highest graduation success rate (GSR) in NCAA Division I, qualified three postseason teams for the sixth straight season, and featured the Capital One Academic All-American of the Year and a WNBA Draft choice. Called "March's Best-Kept Secret" by USA Today, The Summit League Basketball Championships further established itself among the nation's top women's tournaments by recording the highest single-session attendance figure among Division I tournaments and placing three crowds among the nation's top nine in the inaugural year at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. This season's event returns to the venue March 5-8, 2016 and The Summit League will host an NCAA Women's Basketball Regional at the site March 25-28, 2016.
