SDSU’s Smith, DU’s Baratta Collect Golfer of the Week Awards

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State's Grant Smith was named Summit League Men's Golfer of the Week, while Denver's Katharina Baratta collected the women's award for their performances Jan. 29-Feb. 16.

GRANT SMITH, SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
Jr. // Johnston, Iowa

Collected his second career Golfer of the Week award and earned Golfer of the Month honors last fall
Finished in a tie for 17^th place at the Arizona Intercollegiate with a 54-hole 218 (77-70-71) for a 72.67 stroke average on the week
Had 11 birdies in the tournament, including three in the final round
The Jackrabbits finished the event in 14^th place, competing against three top-25 teams and the top individual golfer

Earned her first career Golfer of the Week award while claiming Golfer of the Month honors last fall
Fired a 154 (78-76) at the 36-hole Stanford Peg Barnard Invitational to finish in 41^st place for a 77 average
Denver placed 12^th in the tournament against four top-25 squads and five in the top-35 in the nation
