NDSU’s Stifter, Sertic Collect #SummitSB Weekly Awards

ELMHURST, Ill. – North Dakota State first baseman Jackie Stifter was named Summit League Player of the Week while teammate Jacquelyn Sertic garnered the league's Pitcher of the Week award for their performances during the week of Feb. 22-28.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JACKIE STIFTER, NORTH DAKOTA STATE

  • Named Summit League Player of the Week for the first time in her career
  • Helped NDSU to wins over Kent State and Cleveland State at the Louisville Red & Black Classic 
  • Recorded a base hit and a run scored in all four games during the weekend along with driving in at least one run in three games
  • Hit .677 with an OBP of .750 and 1.111 slugging percentage for the week with one home run, three RBI while only striking out once

  • Earned her second career Summit League Pitcher of the Week award and second this season
  • Pitched two complete-game shutouts vs. Kent State and Cleveland State, handing the Golden Flashes just their second loss of the season
  • In the two wins, racked up 21 strikeouts against just one base on balls
  • For the week, she was 2-0 with a 1.40 ERA and 23 strikeouts
